lyrics
D’you know what it’s like to live
as a jester in the eyes of those you love
Serves me right, got caught with my eaves dropped
This terrible locomotion I’m not in control of
D’you know what it’s like to breathe
Three long-awaited sighs of sweet relief
Four years, I was Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, Track 3
Thousands of passive-aggressive calls to Tiree
D’you know what it’s like to see
your life turning sour, and quickeningly
Can’t believe the speed at which this scaffold rises round me
The crest of the hill not where I need it to be
Am I gunshy?
Have I got it right?
I’m barely acquainted with a Saturday night
These days are wearing thin
Edith Piaf still singing about some accordion
D’you what it’s like to want to fall
from the ruin of a red brick wall at the edge of my world
D’you know what it’s like to see it all
A plane in a squall, nose up in a stall
Falling, falling, falling fast
I feel the wind, I see the smile on the face of my past
Can it last? I think not
Tezcatlipoca gets himself around a lot
D’you know what it’s like?
I know what it’s like
It’s men you love and trust getting up to such and such online

A fabulous album and I could choose several songs as my favourite. In the end I went for Pull the Plug because it talks directly and honestly about mental health as does Medicated. I also love I am glad we broke up because Ezra Furman is one of my favourite artists.

Amazing. Music full of energy and soul. And lyrics not scared of having an opinion. Plus on one of my favourite labels Invada. Finding this music this morning made my day. phil stairmand-jackson
Indie pop is actually punk and exhibit A is the Particles, whose music gets a welcome reissue on Australian indie powerhouse Chapter Music. Bandcamp New & Notable May 4, 2023
Well, does it live up to the hype? It's okay, not as good as 'Loops' or the 'Fenella' stuff; i doubt i'll be listening to it in full very often.
Her mojo is waneing in my 'umble opinion. vykr
